Domainindex API

The DomainIndex API allows you to integrate data from our appraisal system into your own applications. DomainIndex API is using standard HTTP requests and can provide responses in XML and JSON formats.

API is developed to support single and volume query up to 1000 domains. Response is faster if API is used for volume queries.

Parameters used in API functions

action = the action you are trying to run
domain = aim of our request can be domain or list of domains separated by comma
mode = format of returning results, available variants are xml and json
key = Unique API key can be found under "My API" in Account section

Errors

There are some errors that can occure while using Domainindex API.

Limit per second

Domainindex API has limit of 1 request per 5 seconds.
If you reach this limit will appear message: You've reached the request limit per second.
This limitation can be skipped by using volume query with up to 1000 domains instead many single queries.

Unsupported TLD

Domainindex supports following TLD:

gTLD: com, net, org, name, asia, biz, eu, xxx, info, mobi, tel, pro, aero, travel, museum, coop.
ccTLD: at, au, be, br, ca, cc, ch, cl, cn, co, cr, cu, cz, de, dk, es, fi, fr, ar, ag, gr, hk, hu, ie, il, in, ir, is, it, jp, kr, li, lu, md, me, mx, my, ng, nl, no, nz, pe, pk, pl, pt, ro, ru, se, sg, sk, tv, tr, tw, ua, uk, us, ve, vn, ws, za.

The message that appears if API is used for domains with unsupported tld is: Please enter one or more valid domains.

If there are no more API requests the message that will appear is: Api requests limit reached.
